Five easy steps to switching your account to First National Bank South Dakota:

Step 1: Open an account with First National Bank South Dakota.

Step 2: Stop using your old checking account. Remember to leave sufficient funds in your old account to cover any outstanding checks or automatic withdrawals.

Step 3: Change your direct deposits. If you currently have money directly deposited into your checking account, you'll need to complete the Direct Deposit Change Form. Send a copy of this form to the source of the deposit, which may include:

• Your Employer
• Government Deposits (Social Security, pension, retirement, etc.)
• Farm Service Agency
• Brokerage Deposits (dividends, interest, etc.)
• Transfers from other financial institution accounts (savings, checking, etc.)
• Child support or other court-issued deposits

Step 4: Change your automatic payments. Use the Automatic Payment Change Form to transfer all of your automatic and online (Bill Pay) withdrawals. You may have to include a voided check from your new First National Bank South Dakota checking account with each form. Your automatic payments may include:

• Gas
• Electric
• Phone Service
• Cell Phone Service
• Water
• Cable / Satellite
• Internet Service
• Trash
• Yard Maintenance
• Loans (car, home equity, credit card, etc.)

Step 5: Close your old checking account. (Complete Steps 3 & 4 first. Be sure all automatic deposits and payments have been changed and that all outstanding checks have cleared your old account.) Complete and submit the Account Closure Form and mail or fax to the bank where you are closing the account. This form will instruct your old bank where to send any remaining balances.

Step 6: Complete the Necessary Forms Below you will find the necessary forms that will allow First National Bank South Dakota to switch your existing account(s)to a First National Bank South Dakota account. We'll even change any direct deposit or automatic payments you currently have setup.

Simply print and complete the applicable forms below and return them in the printable courtesy reply envelope. We'll take care of the rest - no letters to write or phone calls to make.

Direct Deposit Form (This form will allow us to transfer your direct deposits to your new First National Bank South Dakota account)
